BURNSIDE STOCK REPORT.
(SI'BCIAL TO N.Z. TABLET.) (Per favour Messrs. Stronach Bros, and Morris.) Wednesday, July 13, 5 p.m. Fat Cattle — 211 yarded. Owing to the large entry, competition was dull, and prices declined by about 10s per head. Best bullocks gold at from L 8 to L!) ; medium, LG IDs to L 7 17s Gd ; light, LI ()8 sd. Best cows, L.j Ms to LG 10s ; medium, L 4 to L 5 lOs ; others, L 2 to L 3 17s Gd. Fat Sheep — 2,475 penned. There was a good demand for prime wethers and maiden ewes, but in other sorts there was a slight decline. Best wethers sold at 14s to I.'js ; extra heavy, lb's Gd ; medium, 12s 3d to i:is 6d ; light, 9s to Us 6d-; best ewes, 12s to 138 0d ; extra heavy, 14s to 15s 6d ; medium, 10s Gd to 11s 9d ; others, 8s to 10s. Lambs — 3 19 penned. There was a gond demand for freezing lambs, while other sorts also sold well. Best sold at from 'Js to 10s 3d ; medium, 7s fid to 8s 9d ; others, 4s to 7s. Pigs— GG penned. Suckers, 7s 6d to 10.s ; slips, 12d Cd to 18 ; stores, 20s to 245. There were no porkers, but there was a good demand for them at from 4Jd to 4|d per lb.
