LTVE STOCK
Mcssra. Wiight. Mephen.son and Co. njmrt as follows
This week, a. i was the ease at our liists.ile, there ua-i a vt ry poor muster of horses placed on the market. Out of some score of horsi s offered there were only two good draught goleliims in the yard. The others comprised aged draught horses and very light hacks and liarness horses. Three draughts found new ownors, and tho same number of light horses. There i« a keen inquiry privati ly for heavy draught mares and geldings and for first-class colts and fillies, ami it ib quite certain our country friends having good horses for sale would find it to their advantage to consign to this market just now. Strong upstanding light harne^s hor.se.-, if young and thoiuugh y
broken, are also in demand, and sell readily at quotations. We quote as follows : First-class draught mares and geldings, L 35 to L4O ; extra good mares, L 45 to LSO ; gooel useful draught marea and geldings, L2.~> to L 33 ; aged do, LI 2 to L2O ; strong upstanding harness horses, L2O to L 2."> ; cavalry horses, LlB to L 25 ; medium hacks and harness horses, L 8 to LI 3 ; aged do, L2to L 5.
