The number of bicycles imported into the Colony during the March quarter of 1808 was I!).")."), of the total value of Ll!>,s<;3. The materials imported were of the value of L 18,155, and the duty paid amounted to L 5803. For the corresponding quarter of 1897 the figures were : — Machines 3135, value L3S,K3B ; materials LI 5,4 24, duty paid LSI 1(5. The figures for the past six months for Wellington are : — Machines 210 I, value, L20,G87 ; materials LCB7O, duty paidL!7lS.
