One of the many important improvements made of late in Queenstown is the acquisition by Mr. P. McCarthy, the popular host of the Mountaineer Hotel, of the buildings adjoining the hotel formerly occupied for many year-- by Mrs. M.ilagan. Mr. McCarthy has spared neither psiins nor money to convert the new premises into a omt'ortable wet of bedrooms, sitting-room-, etc. The hotel now o'l'ers unii willed accommodation to travellers, tourists and the general public. Only the best brands of wines and spirits are kept, and the culinary arrangements are all that anyone could desiie, We wish Mr. McCarthy a full measure of success,
