Although many have been the reminiscences related by the public Prebs of the eminent imj/renario, Mr. Henry C. Abbey, whore death occurred recently in New York, none of the English journals have given publicity to the fact that he died within the fold of the Catholic Church, to which he was admitted on his death-bed. Some short time since an invalid son of his was received into the Church, a circumstance which made a great impression of Mr. Abbey. Not long before his death he expressed a strong wish to see the priest who had received his son, and, on his arrival, declared his wish to follow his son's oxample, and to die in the Catholic faith.
