The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report for the week ended January 12, as follows: — Wheat — There is very little now offering, transactions in consequence are unimportant. Quotations for prime milling' wheat. 48 7d to 48 lOd ; prime Tuscan, 4s od to 4s 8d ; inferior and fowls' wheat, 3s 6d to 4s 2d (ex store, sacks weighed in, terms). Oats — Shippers are not inclined to purchase except when they have orders on hands, which of late have not been coming forward very freely. Quotations for prime, L 2 10s to L 2 12s 6d : medium, L 2 2s <ld to L 2 7s (>d per ton (ex truck, sacks returned, net). Potatoes — Owing to fuller supplies prices are fast receding. Quotations for best kidneys, L.~> 10s to L 6 10s ; medium, L 3 10s to L 4 10s (ex store, sacks in, net). Sheepskins — Market flat. Best dry crossbreds fetch 4^d to 5d ; medium, 3d to 4d ; dry merinos, 2d to 4d per lb ; green crossbred pelts, lOd to Is 3d ; green lambskins, i)d to Is 3d each. Rabbitskins — Very few now offering. Medium and off-season fetch 7d to 9d ; inferior, 4d to 5Jd ; suckers, Id to 2Jd per lb. Hides — Are in moderate demand. Best fetch 2d to 2|d ; extra heavy, 3d to 3>d ; light, 1 }d to l^d ; inferior, Id to ljd per lb. Tallow and Fat—Sales confined to broken packages from the country, rendered fetching 10s Gd to 15s ; best mutton caul fat, 11s to lls 6d ; medium, i)s Od to 10s Gd ; inferior, Ss Gd to Ds per cwt, ex store, net.

Messrs Donald Reid and Co. report as follows :—: — Oats — We submitted a small catalogue, and all lots were disposed of at values equal to last week's quotations. Prime milling. Is lid to Is ll£d ; good to best feed, Is 10£ dto Is lid; medium to inferior. Is i)d to Is lOd per bushel (sacks extra). Wheat — We only offered a few lots of broken and inferior fowl feed, which sold at 8s 4d to 3s 7d per bushel (sacks in).
