DUNEDIN HORSE SALEYARDS.

Messrs. Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report as follows :—: — There was a small attendance of buyers at Saturday's sale, and a poor entry of horses. Among the draughts there were one or two good useful sorts, but apart from these there were no first-class animals offered. The demand for young sound draughts is very good, and when consignments of horses answering this description are forthcoming they are well competed for and bring full values. Spring carters when showing any quality attract a good deal of attention. We have numerous inquiries for surong upstanding horses of this class, and can recommend this market to sellers. Hacks and harnegs horses were offered to-day. There were a number of nice buggy horses. The demand was a good deal better for good horses of this class than it has been for a few weeks past, and a number changed hands at satisfactory prices. We quote :—Firstclass heavy young draughts at from L2B to L 33 ; medium, L2O to L2o ; aged, Ll."> to Ll9 ; good hacks and strong carriage horses.
