As already sUted, she is not Mrs Navarre, neb Mary Anderson, tha famous actress. Sue is niece by marriage of General Gordon, of Khartoum, being the wile of Major William Anderson, whose mother i* Mrs Wilhelmina Harriet Anderann, sister of General Gordon. Her first literary woik was " A Son of Noah," which quickly attained a gre^t selling success. Mrs Anderson wag so much encouraged by this that she wrote "Othello's Occupation," which has been recently been published. The authoreps has bten much amused at the numerous paragraphs attributing these dookh to her distinguished namesake. It was to VI r<? Anderson, her mother, that Mr W. H. Goss wrote his " Review of Modern Science acd Modern Thought" in the form of letters.
