ST. PATRICK'S SCHOOL, MASTERTON.

The children of St Patrick's School were examined on Wednesday and Thursday by the Rev Father Goggan, S.M , Roman Catholic Inspector of Bchoois in the archdiocese of Wellington.

The reverend gentleman expressed himself much pleased with the progress made by the children during the past yf ar, and commented particularly on their excellent discipline. The following £ the pass-list : — Seventh Standard.— Edgar Richards. Sixth Standard.— Frank Bizoska, Bertie Chapman, Patrick O'Leary, Alice Chapman, Mary Connell, Mary Hourigan.

Fifth Standard. — Thomas Caahion, M Mnlcahy, J Treder.

Fourth Standard.— John Glennan, Joeeph O'Leary, Hugh Bichards, John Minogue.

Third Standard.— J Bizoska, P Carr, T Carr, J Filzgerald, David Mulcahy, Humphrey O'Leary. Jam*s Potter, Denis O'Sullivan, Maud Chapman, Ellen Connell, Margaret Hourigan.

Second Standard.— A Brzoska, M McMullen, Jacob P.zoska, John O'Sulliv n, Kate Chapman.

Firßt Standard.— Nellie Mulcahy, Alice Montgomery, Katie Beardon, Ted O'SullivaD, George Powell, John Hanley, Charles Jackson, Horace Fitzsimmons, Wynsmore Brittain.

Out of 64 children presented, 63, or 83 per cent., passed, which is certainly very creditable to the school management.
