A CORRECTION.
TO THE EDITOB N Z. TABLET. Dear Sib.— Some time since a clipping from the Ellesmera Guardian, (sent no doubt by some special correspondent) appeared in your columns giving a description of the Leeston new church. The building dosses all the praise bestowed, so do the workmen employed thereon, and likewise the designer, Mr W, H. De Duval the architec*, also the congregation who so liberally parted with their money to raiee a structure wonhy of their faith and of their historical adherence to it. Bnt one omission from the article strikes me as singular, that ie, that the name of the clerk of workß, who so faithfully and truihtully oarriel through tht work almost till the day the article appeared in the Guardian, should not be mentioned at all, and Mr Chidgwin, named as clerk of works in his place, when he actually only tock the office when Mr Haughey had to leave to attend to the farm he had got at Cheviot. In justice to itself and Mr Haughey the committee should have made this correction ; out of deference for that body I have delayed thus loDg to do it,— l am, kc. Faib Plat.
