heavy draught horses, and strong light harness horses suitable for travellers, express, or work of the tame description. For these sorts there were more buyers than horses to supply them, and just now we can recommend consignments of these descriptions, more especially of draughts, which are very scarce, and for which there are numerous buyers. Inferior hacks and harness horup.s were very dull of tale. We quote : For first-clasa draughts (extra heavy), £25 to £30 ; good ordinary (young), £18 to £22 ; medium. £12 to £16; aged, £6 to £10 ; good hacks and harness horseß, £12 to £16 ; medium, £7 to £9 ; light and inferior, £2 10a to £5. Mb F. Meenan, King street, reports : -Wholesale price— Oats : la 7d to Is lid (bags extra). Wheat (sacks included) : Milling, 2s 9d to 3s 3d, demand dull ; fowls', Is 9d to 2s 3d. Chaff : Inferior to medium, good supply, demand dull, £1 10s Od to £2 5a Od ; prime np to £2 15s Od, good demand ; hay, oaten, quality inferior, demand dull, £2 10a to £3 0s ; ryegrass, £3 os, of good quality. Potatoes, old market bare, demand good, £2 09 Od ; new provincial kidneys, £7 0a Od. good demand ; impotted, £6 10s OJ. Flour : Roller, £9 0a to £9 15s ; stone, £8 0s to £8 15s, demand quiet.
