OBITUARY.

It ia with extreme regret that we have to record the death, after a brief illness, of Hilda, the youngest and most beloved daughter of Mr 0. E. Gudgeon, of the Colonial Bank, Qaeenstown. Deceased was a bright, intelligent girl, and, at home or abroad, her obedience gate her the name of a model of patience. Qreat sympathy is felt for the bereaved parents. A large cortege of friends followed the remains to the cemetery, the funeral being headed by the members of the Sacred Heart Confraternity, whose banner was carried in front. The coffin came next, and was carried by four of the young men of the Confraternity, wearing their badges and white bands. Then followed tbe long and sad cortege of friends ; the last rites of the Church being celebrated by the Rev Father Burke. We also record with deep regret the death of Miss Ellie O'Halla* han, sister of the Rev Father O'Hallahan, of Kumara, which hai recently occurred, in the 22nd year of her age, at Cork, Ireland, after a painful illness. — Requietcant in pace.
