FIFTY POUNDS FOR A GUESS.
An ordinary Walker's whisky bottle has been completely filled with Dr. Fletcher's Pills, securely corked with a cork one inch into the neck and sealed and placd in the charge of the Commercial Bank, Newtown, Sydney. Ao living soul knows how many pills the bottle contains We agree to divide £50 (fifty pounds) in prizes for the netrest guesses as to the number of pills contained in the bottle as follows :—: —
One present of £2o for the nearest guess. £10 for the next nearest euess. „ £5 for the next nearest guess. £4 for the next nearest guess. i, „ £3 for the next nearest gue^s. „ £2 for the next nearest guess. i £1 frr the next nearest gue3s. Conditions — We make no charge for the guess, but only purchasers of Dr. Fletcher's Bilious and Liver Pj'ls are eligible to compete and the euess must bt» written on one of our printed form I*,1 *, one of which is wr <pped around every shilling box leaving our lab ratory after this date. In c. ic e two or more p -rsons guess the correct number, the oi.e first to hand will get the £25 and the next guess to hand gets the £10 and soon. In cd°e nobody guesses the correct nvmber, the nearest guess gets the first present of £25. Fletcher's pills are Bold at one shilling per box even where by chemists, storekeepers and patent medic ne vendors, or we will send a box wi'h guess form f >r 13 penny stamj a of any colony. All guests will be entered in a book and numbered as received. The bottle will be opered on January Ist, 1892, and the presents sent out at oncJ to the lucky guesstrs. This competition is a perfectly 1 ona ri ie affair and arranged for the purpose of introducing Dr. Fletcher's Pills, so there can be no appeal from our decision. [CERTIFICATE.] 22-6-91.
