DUNEDIN HORSE SALEYARDS.
Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co. report as follows :—The entry of horses to-day was larger than those of tbe last few weeks, and as there were numerous buyers present the prices realised could not but be considered satisfactory. The entries were principally of hacks and harness horses (good useful sorts), which at the present time are in great demand both for town and country buyers. Only a few really good draughts were offered, and as was the case with the hacks and harness horses top prices were realised for them. We have a large number of inquiries for good, strong buggy and strong, active apring-eart borees. We sold ia all 28 horses. We quote—First-class draughts (extra heavy), L 25 to L3O ; good ordinary draughts (young), LlB to L 22 ; medium draughts, Ll2 to Ll6; a^ed draughts, Lrt to LlO ; good hacks and harness horses, Ll2 to Ll6 ; medium backs and harness horasa, L 7 to L 9 ; light and inferior hacks and harness horses, L 2 10* to L 5.
