The best French jiurn ds have heea unaniaaous in their praise of Cardinal Newman. The Figaro, devoting an able article to the loss wbich the Church has just sustaioed, coacudes by saying : "In Jobn H-nry Newman disappears a mau who was not only an honour to his coun ry but an honour to humanity."
