OBITUARY .

♦■ We record with regret the death of Mr. Martin Satnmon, late of Tinker's Gully, which took place at the Hospital, Naseby, after a long illness, on June 9. The deceased was a native of the County Galway, and was 23 years of age. He was a faithful and practical member of the Catholic Church, and his dying bed was soothed by the frequent ministrations of religion, — the Rev. Fatner Sheehan, notwithstanding the distance to be travelled, being in constant attendance on him, and keinj; also present during hiß last moments. The esteem in which the deceased was held in the district where he resided was testified to by the large assembly at hiß funeral, which took place at Ophir on July 3. — IZequifseat in pace.
