Announcement of new 3^ per cent. New Zealand loan well received in London. — French t>x;ialistß threaten to strike and close Exhibition. — Death announced of King of Portugal. Monday, 20th. Eleven jurors selected in Cronia murder case. — Smill-pox microbe discovered by Dr. Sicard of Paris.
Tuesday 22nd.
Bishop of Limerick forbids pri°sts to give absolution to supporters of Plan of Campaign. — Announced that Gladstone will attack Welsh Church and Salisbury's foreign policy. — Trial commenced of 12 persons charged with murder of Inspector Martin ; Father McFadden charged with complicity.
