Bib,— Please to take charge of the enclosed cheque (amount £73 6* 6d), for transmission to the treasurers of the nndermention funds in Ireland : Parnell Defence Fnnd, £56 9s 6d ; Irish National League, £16 17s. The latter item is our second instalment within a short period to that particular fnnd. The contribution to the Defence Fund, though small, is a protest aa earnest and emphatic in its scope against the dishonourable tactics of the present Tory Ministry as that which was pronounced a few days ago by the electors of East Perthshire.
