When a staunch Protestant like Mr, Came proposes that Protestants should imitate the Jesuits we may fairly conclude that we are undergoing something like a religious revolution in this country. Yet such is the fact. Mr. Came, as he has been telling a meeting of his constituents in Barrow, has lately bs«n studying missionary work in India, and he is convinced that Protestantism will never make headway in that Empire till the Protestant missionaries copy the zeal and self-denial of the sons of St. Ignatius.
A new Catholic monastery, called St.Mich»el'd Retreat, has been established by the Order of the Passionists at Warebam, Dorsetshire, nnder most favourable auspices, The Retreat was, as is stated, purchased by the Pa^siouist Order for £3,000, and the religious community residing in it will consist of eighteen religious — four priests, twelve stadente, and two laj Brothers. The estaol shment of th« monastery is largely due to the exertions of the Very Bey. Provincial of the Order, Father Viucent Grogan, so well known in Ireland for his zeal and devotion,
