GRAIN AND SEED BE PORT Messes. Samuel Okk and Co., Stafford street, report for the week ending January 19, us follows :-Whear : The demand for this cereal is now almost nothing. Milltra, as reported last week, simply workiog up old stocks, and baying from hand to mnuth od account ot the nearness of the new crop, coupled with the low price of flour the demand for which is also small at present. Late quotations are not obtainable and not likely to be for some considerable time, unless something unforseen occurs. Prime milling is wor h4sßdto4s 9d • medium to good, up to 4a 5d ; fowls' feed, 3a 3d to 45.-Oats ' demand small, and prices easier, as was shown at auction during the past week when good catalogues were put forward, but low prices had (o be accepted before business resulted, and then only on a limited scale. Inter-colonial orders are few and local demand small and as it is probable that the new crop will be ia the market in about 10 days, customers decline laying in heavy stocks. We quote prime milling Is 8d to Is 9d ; heavy bright feed, Is 8d ; medium, Is 5d to Is 7d.— Barley : Still a little demand at for malting up to 33 ■ mi ing, 2s 6d ; feed, 2s 3d to 2s 6d.— Grass Seed : Growers would do well to keep before them our remarks of last week, and which we can only supplement by saying that the local demand is nothine consequently it must be shipped.
