OTAGO-CANTERBURY D.B. H.A.C.B.S.

A special meeting of the D.B. officers and delegates was held on Thursday, 21st January, when the following business was transacted : The D.S. read his written report, which was unanimously adopted, and a vote of thanks passed him for his services.

The othcial report was next taken ai read, owing to all present being thoroughly conversant with its contents, and was next unanimously adopted.

The following resolutions were passed in connection with the item of business to give effect to the conference proposals : — (a) " That after the transaction of all business absolutely necessary at the February annual meeting, tho meeting should adjourn to Auckland, 17th Match, in order to give effect to the report we have adopted from the Wellington conference." (J) •' That the district officers be and aie hereby empowered to take all the necessary steps for giving effect to the resolutions adopted by this meeting — namely, that the annual meeting be adjourned lo Auckland. That the D.s! represent the Board in Auckland."

The meeting was perfectly unanimous thai the Board should be located in Auckland, and that for the beat interests of the Society it was necesstry the Board should be fixei there temporarily. The D.S. read the recommendations of the Board, on how it proposed to clear the present liabilities of the Incidental Fund, so that it could, with its assets, be handed over free of debt. The report was adopted, on the motion of the Leeston delegate, Bro. Kilbridc. It was resolved — ' That the term Otago-Canterbury be struck out of the title of the District Board, and New Zealand be substituted."— Carried unanimously.
