A PRAYER

Ctntposed by Estelle the day after she was miraculously cured, 20th February, after having received Holy Communion.

O my good Mother, behold me in thine own hands. Look with pity on thy t poor servant. Permit not that the designs of Providence respecting my unworthy self, may ever be frustrated through my unfaithfulness. May thy Jesus, who dwelt in thy Heart, and who this day has also deigned to visit miue ; may He be my salvation and my only support. May He subdue in me that pride which so often nearly caused my utter ruia ; may He root out every evil inclination, and deliver me from all that tends not to His glory and to thine. Most holy Virgin, who hast proclaimed so well thy power ia bestowing the health of my body, hea.l also my soul, which has been bo often wounded by sin. O thou, my powerful Protectress, who art after God my consolation, thou who didst mitigate my sufferings, thou art the light of my soul, in that thou hast shown to me my iniquities, thou who art also my strength, my treasure, my joy, the hope of my life, and of my salvation, tbou who hast said to me, " You are my daughter," thou canst not now reject my petitions. Deign to grant them, and to have compasßioa on me, as it belongs to the Mother of my God, who has Bhown such love and goodness to men. He is their Father ; He has established thee their Mother. Since thou hast deigned to count me amongst thy privileged children, obtain for me, from God. every grace necessary for my salvation. I promise thee in retur i, 0 my good Mother, to do all that depends on me to become worthy of thy favours. Amen. Estelle.
