Irish landlords are exhibiting an intense anxiety to get their properties off their hands as qmcklr as p >ssible. In trying to do this they are wise in their generation, for the price of land is° certainly not rising in ihe market. The tenants, however, do not seem to be in any very great huirv to buy, »nl in. the face of this it is rather difficult for the landlords to go on sttisfacto ily with their scheme. Even evicted tenants would be taken ba-k if they would only use the money of the Government to buy their hoi lin^s at a ejoo i round figure. Vlt. Bussey, for instance, has written to the parish priest of Oaranes off ring to reinstate two tenants on the O<borae es ate Th >y were evicted some years since. The landlord says he will reinsta'e thpm if they ngree to purchase J»t 20 yean' judicial rant, an offer which he makes to all tenants on the estate. They ill refuse, but they offer 15 years' purchase. If tois ofier is reu sed cow, we aricipat© tbat it will ac Bttmmtmt/^Jected tonic tlnfc fetfatfc.— ->WWe, Eteptfemter 20.
