From all he colleges and schools in Victoria taken together, only 32 per cent passed the Matriculation and 34 per cent, the Civil Service. From St. Francis Xavier's College 100 per cent, passed the Matriculation ; 66 per cent, the Civil Service. In December, 1883, ten out of eleven passed from the same College.
