On the same principle as the Civil Service Stores at Home, any profit that may be made above working expenses will be returned to shareholders. In order to register the Company without delay, upwards of 50,000 shares have been taken up by the promoters and others interested. By the Articles of Association, the Board are empowered to allot the remainder of the shares from time to time in such proportions as the Board may determine. It has been resolved to place an allotment of 20,000 shares under offer to the public now, and the Board have decided to limit the number of shares in this allotment to be held by any one person to 200 shares and not less than 25 shares, thus enabling most householders to - have an interest in this Co-operative Society.
