Sheath, called upon to show causs why their deferred payment licenses should not be forfeited, G. Turnbull's explanation was received as sufficient; J. McAllister's case was deferred for a fortnigat ; and G. Sheath was allowed two months extension of time. Ranger Valpy's recommendation that a saw mill area of 30 acres at Waipori, extending frcm the south of the position marked to the river, be granted to J. Lawson, was agreed to. Government was recommended to revoke the proclamation setting apart sections 6 and 7, block V. Waipori, as pastoral deferred payment land, and to offer it under pastoral lease for a term of years. J. Holma'a application to have bush reserve, block IV., Toi-Tois put up for sale by public auction was referred to the ranger for report. The Board resolved to request Government to accept the surrender of run G, Wakatipu, infested with rabbits. On the application of J obn and Catherine Howat the Board decided to rec <mmend the Government to group sections2and3 block XII. Rankleburn before sale on the ground that the sections coald be moreadrautageously woiked together. Tenders under perpetual lease system were accepted as follows :— A. J. M'Leod, sections 6 and 12. bljck IX. (640 acres), upset price is ; Kobert Murray ..sections 5 and 6. block VU1.(637 acres), upaet price Is ; J. H. Pink, section 10, block VIII. (320 acres), upset price Is ; and section 17, block VIII. (320acrea), at Is 6J an acre, Mount Hyde. The Chief Surveyor was mstructed that 2000 acres, run No. 200, Benger, should bu cut up into four allotments for pastoral leasing. The applications of John Tatnblyn to purchase 5 acres block 11., and of G. F. Mackay to capitalise seciion 5, block IX., Teviot, were granted. The Board resolved to recommend the Government to grant the application of the Education Board to have sectiom 6 to 13 and 20 to 27, block 111., Hill's) Creek, reserved for an extension of the school-site. Applications to purchase were granted as follows :—: — J. N. Wool, section 5, block IV.. Waikaia ; Charles Faulkner, section 5, block XII, Maerewhenua ; John Pratt, section 9, block XI,. do. ; A. D Oliver (under exonange lease), sections 53 and 54, block I, Leaning Rock. A transfer from M. Elliot to J. E. Matheson, section 2, block 111., Strath-Taien was granted. The gold-mining certificates of the Serpentine Quartzmining Co., Long Valley; and Malcolm M'Leod, Bt, Bathans, were declared void,
