At 8 o'clock on Tuesday night an attempt was made to destroy the London underground railway near Praed street station by means of dynamite. The explosion resulted in great damage being done to the road, and 40 passengers who were in the train, which was in the tunnel, were injured. Between Charing Cross and Westminster street another explosion occured, but fortunately no damage was done either to train or station. At the time of the explosions the railways wore crowded with visitors to the Fisheries Exhibition. This dastardly attempt to destroy life and property is attributed to the Fenians.— The report is a matter of course, but not necessarily to be accepted as ttue, Mr. Michael Landers, of the Thames, left by the Waihora for Sydney as delegate for the Auckland and Thames brancre=s of the Irish Natienal League at the Melbourne Convention.
