The New York Fvmes was the only daily paper that announced in its news columns, some weeks ago, that there was, amongst the large party of Mormon converts just arrived, a number of Irish people. This statement, of course, is inaccurate. A Catlwlic Review reporter investigated it at the time, and found the recruits to Mormonistn were natives of Protestant England and Scandinavia, countries from which nearly all of its European followors are taken. In no case , have its missionaries been successful in Catholic countries.
