Mr. Wnalley. M.P., son of our old friend of Peterborough, was before the magistrate at the Marlborough street Police Court on udonday, on a charge connected with something springing out of his bankruptcy. We are sincerely sorry for him, and do earnestly trust he will not attribute his misfortunes to the Jesuits. Who knows ? That terrible Order may have been up to some of its occult machinations. It is notorious that the disciples of Ignatius of Loyola cause earthquakes and eclipses, mildew in corn and murrain in cattle, phylloxera in the vineyard, and rheumatic gout in the Prime Minister's great toe 1— TJniveru.
