Bullocks realised from fnJ^Al 6 w 6d '-7 aU , d 2°*", £6 to * 8 lOs P er head - We 80l d on account of the New Zealand and Australian Land Company, Limited, from their Clydevale estate, 11 bullocks at £9 2s 6d to £9 i2s 6d,and 30 cows, at £6 15s to £8 10s ; and on account of Messrs. Smith and Dornwell, 37 head of bullocks, from Seadown, at from £8 17s 6d to 53 per head. We quote prime beef, 22s 6d per 1001 b Calves.— Ten were yarded, and sold at from 11s to 21s v v. F i at Sbeep. — The supply of 1475 head was readily disposed of at slightly better than last week's prices, the range being from 6s 9d to lls 3d per head. We sold drafts on account of Mr. J. C. Buckland at 9s, and Messrs. J. and S. Wilson at 8s 3d per head. We quote prime mutton 2d per lb. 4 Fat Lambs.— 252 head were penned, which met with good competition, and were clearing at 7s 3d to 10s 6d. We sold drafts on account of Messrs. Buckland at 8s 3d to 93;9 3 ; and J. and S. Wilson, at 10s 3d to 10s 6d.
Fat Pigs.— Forty-six were disposed of at 18a to 47s each. c tnV? 10 9 attle '"~ At M °sgirf Yards, on the 25th instant, we disposed of 197 head of store cattle, on account of Mr. Walter Miller, of Roxburgh Station, as follows :— Yearlings, steers, and bullocks, up to 3 years old, from 26s to £5 15s ; cows and heifers, from £2 10s to £2 15s ; and cows with calves, at £2 12s 6d per head. Store Sheep.— We have buyers for a considerable number ©f young croas-breds and merinos, and have several transactions pending. r Sheepskins.— We offered a fair catalogue on Monday, and cleared the various lots at satisfactory prices, viz— Batchers' and station cross-breds, up to 5s lOd ; merinos, to 5s 9d ; lambs, to Is lOd : pelts to lid ; and skins at per lb, up to 6|d Hides.-— The demand is fully equal to taking off all supplies coming to hand, at late rates, say 3£d per lb for wet salted, and 20s each for butchers green hides. Tallow.— We report sales at last week's prices, at which the market is steady— say 25s for well-rendered tallow, and 15s to 16s per cwt. for rough fat. Grain.— Wheat : Transactions in really prime samples are very linmited, and quotations unchanged. We disposed of several parcels by auction last week, milling of medium quality at 4s 3d to 4s 4d! and fowl feed at Is 3£d to 3s Id. Quotations for prime milling, 4s 8d ; medium, 3s 6d to 4s 3d ; fowl feed, 2s to 3s per bushel. Oats : We sold at auction about 2100 bags feed at Is 4d to Is 6d. which we consider present market price. Inquiry for milling is very slack : prime samples might fetch up to Is 9d per bushel. Barley : Demand is at present at a standstill, and quotations would be only nominal.
