G. HIRBCH, of Dunedin (Dunedin Dyk Wokks. George street, opposite Royal George Hotel), exhibits a case of &pccim« n% of Dyed Wools, Silks, and Feathers, and dyed Sheepskins. The colours ox the whole are very fair, and reflect considerable credit on the J., \iiutor, to whom the Jurors recommended an Honorary Certificate should be awarded. Honorary Certificate, 29 : Gustav Hirsch, Dunedin, for specimens of Dyeing in Silk, Feathers, &c. I learn with sincere regret that a sad calamity has befallen one of the most energetic and highly esteemed among the Westminster clergy. Canon Macraullen, of Chelsea, whose eyesight has long been weak, was struck with suddeu blindness while at the altar on Sunday. He got as far as the Epistle, but rinding himself totally unable to read, the good priest burst into tears, and retired to the sacristy amid the deep sympathy of the congregation. — London correspondent of Freeman,
