Thx St. Patrick' t College Qaxettt, it a magazine published by the members of the debating .iociety in connection with the College of the Jesuit Fathers in Melbourne. The May number now lies before ns and is a publication, that does eminent credit to all who were engaged in its production. It contains a large number of excellently written articles that are qualified to instruct, edify and amuse. Soira men are now perambulating the city of Dunedin, for the purpose of disseminating the lectures of " Pastor" Chiniquy. This is a method in. which our "eYangeHcal" friends are attempting to keep ahead of Frccthought with its " prostitution, made easy," " The Fruits of I'hiloßopby." It is quite lucky for them to hare found so worthy a rival of the filthy work ia question. It must awaken their warmest gratitude to heaven to find so handy a way of providing for the edification of their disciples as this combination of " sculduddery" with their accustomed piety. It issureto take amongst the offscourings of the Glasgow and Edinburgh slums and preserve their orthodoxy. " Holy Willy" has certainly hit upon a stroke of policy most worthy of himself, and the " reformed" sty from whence he emanated.
