Timaeu, August 9th The telegram with reference to Father Hennebery's remarks here on Sunday last, re mixed marriages, were partly incorrect as it appeared in the New Zealander and some other papers, not being as sent by the Press agent here. Father Hennebery did not liken newspaper men and editors to a curse, but said he treated them as adverse to him as a traveller would a yelping cvr — take no notice of it. He said if he preached the doctrines imputed to him he would be stopped by the priests and perhaps suspended by the Bishop.
