Emile Girnrdin's paper circulates 100,000 copies daily! The *W*ro has an enormous circulation, and is taken by thousands of Catholics who go to Church, and even to the Confessional. Its columns reeh with obscenity— such as no Catholic, except called by duty to do it, ought to read. iv 11 * 10^" 1 ot h is tbat> tm we have a generation grown up altogether different from the generation of Catholics now is— especially m our large cities— the idea of giving a living circulation to a daily Catholic paper ; or to a paper abstaining from publishing 1111811 Cataolic morals, as well as Catholic faith, is absurd ! ±ne fathers and mothers, the boys and the girls, will, in tremendous numbers, vote that it is a stupid paper ! There arc, we know, young women, grown up, and boys that would no more touch one of these daily papers, except by leave, for this or that thing in one of them, than they would finger a red hot coal out of the kitchen range !
