Yielding to the pressing counsels of the Powers, the Porte has accepted the proposed Conference on Turkish affairs. Increased activity prevails at Woolwich and Portsmouth.

November 18.— At the wool sales competition continues extremely vigorous ; prices very firm ; 100,000 bales have been sold. The wheat market is firmer; New Zealand, 495. to 525.
