The Boston ' Pilot' gives the following facts on the Indian missions ; — "The Catholics have 106,000 of the Christian Indian population. The Protestants, according to the Hon. Felix Brunot, have only 15,000. ThU gives the Catholi;s seven-eigh hs of the whole, ami one-eighth for all the Protestant sect 3. In 1875, Congress appropriated about $200,000 for the Indian schools, and of this sum, §15,000 went to the Catholic, and $185,000 to the Protestant schools.
