THE OTAGO HIGH SCHOOL.
A lasgc deputation waited on the Superintendent on Friday the 9th iust obircting to the removal of the High School. The Yen. Archdeacon Edwards ot St. Pauls (Anglican) Church Dunedin, said that the only one of the children's parents who was in favor of the removal of the High School had said it was a step in the ricrht direction to the übulitiou of the School. The removal of the High School to the Rectory would be attended with a great dt.il of inconvenience. The position ot the Keetory wa> uwkwaid a.iv inaccessible. Then again, theie were pareuts who 'at present had eh.ldre 1 at the High School would remove them if the proposed change was made. Ho askea that nothing should be done till the next nuetiug of the Viovmoi.d Council. l'he Superintendent-: In the face cf such a strong and unanimous maniiostutiou of opinion the Government will pause m the matter, until the Coancil meets.
