SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
We regret to record a rery serious accident which occurred to MV Grogan at the Forbury Racecourse on Mondaj. With one or twl friends he drove out in a buggy to the racecourse, and arrived at th» gates m safety. In driving along tho green between the gates and the grand stand, the buggy wheels got into some deep ruts! and thl gentleman driving was thrown out. He escaped unhurt with inexception of scraped hands, but the horse took fright aud bolted Mr Grogan tried to secure the reins, but failed to do so and he thm jumped out. Instead of getting out at the back of the b«e^ h. jumped put at the side, arid in doing so got an awkward fall hu LeA coming Jtt contact with one of the wheels. He was at once' placed I in an express waggon, and removed to the Hospital, where he now lies in a precarious condition. He haa an ugly wound over tho left eve and has sustained concussion of the brain, the latter of course bJua the chief injury. From the time of the accideat up to the present ha has been quite insensible Mr Grogan has been very unfortunate of late, as we understand that he had just recovered from the effects of a severe kick fiomarace-borse. Vp to Thursday he was still insensible
