June last, for false pretences, Mr. Laming, age about twenty-four, height about 5 ft. 11 in., native of New Zealand, slight build, dark complexion, plausible, appeared to have a slight limp. On above date he obtained £1 7s. 6d. in money from Robert Maru Bell, newspaper agent, 3 Haast Street, Remuera, by falsely representing that he had obtained a position in the publishing department of the New Zealand Herald, and that he required the money to travel to his home at Whangarei to obtain working clothes. He may be identical with Lawrence Geoffrey Laming, referred to in Police Gazette, 1945, page 505, and preceding paragraph. No warrant. / / _
