Christchurch. —3rd instant, on warrant for bigamy, Sam Rawlinson, age twenty-eight, height 5 ft. 6| in., seaman, native of England, medium build, fresh freckled complexion, auburn hair, brown eyes, clasped hands, heart, “ True Love,” “ Mum,” and “ Dad ” on left forearm, bird, “ Mary,” and “ Sam ”on right arm. On 21st September. 1940, he married Mary English at Widness, Lancashire, England, and on 13th April, 1944, being then married, he went through a form of marriage with Sylvia Mavis Senior, 48 Ferry Road, at the office of the Registrar of Marriages, Christchurch. On 10th February last he was interviewed by the Runcorn (England) police, and admitted the offence.
