Acceleration of Increment: Regulation 400 In recognition of his valour in arresting Martin James Eyles, an armed murderer, sentenced at Napier on 19th February, 1945, to imprisonment for life on two charges of murder (see Police Gazette, 1945, page 211), the increment of the pay of Senior-Sergeant F. Forsythe (No. 2012) due on the Ist day of December, 1945, has, in terms of Regulation 400, been accelerated to take effect from the Ist day of January, 1945. J. Cummings, Commissioner of Police.
