APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Kaitaia. — Nuku Peters, failing to maintain : Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 29.)

Auckland. — Kenneth Albert MacKenzie, absent from Army Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 209.)

Auckland. ALlCE MAXWELL’S watch, &c., stolen : The offenders (two youths) have been located by the Auckland police, but the stolen property has not been recovered. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 128.)

Auckland. — Charles Abel Peters, default of maintenance, has paid the arrears to the Palmerston North police. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 294.)

Auckland. — John William Pye, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Stratford police. (See Police Gazette, 1942, page 371.)

Auckland. — Sydney Joseph Rodgers, inquired for, has communicated with the Land and Income Tax Department, and no further action is desired. (See Police Gazette, 1944, page 560.)

Auckland. — John Henry Dowie, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Gisborne police. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 205.)

Auckland.— Henry Lawson, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Auckland police. He is not identical with James Henry Lawson, referred to in Police Gazette, 1945, page 23, and Photographs, 1939, page 23, but is identical with a man of the same name referred to in Police Gazette, 1944, page 24, and Photographs, page 4. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 223.)

Hamilton. — Edward Brian Mclntosh, inquired for, has paid his Social Security Contributions, and no further action is desired. (See Police Gazette, 1944, page 575.)

Rotorua.— Eileen May Tokona, alias Eileen Mary Holmes, breach of probation, has been arrested by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 274.)

Tokaanu.— Alexander Talbot Johnston, escaping from prison, has been arrested by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 127.)

Wanganui.— Henry Joseph Abbott Lomax, convicted (see Police Gazette, 1941, page 437) : In the “ Distinguishing Marks ” column the photographic reference “ 1934, p. 62 ” is incorrect and should read “ 1934, p. 12.” All copies of the Police Gazette are to be amended accordingly.

Palmerston North.— Roland George Hart, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Dannevirke police. (See Police Gazette, 1945, pages 30 and 274.)

Palmerston North. — William Peter Anderson, default of damage, is on service overseas: Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 274.) -

Palmerston North. Henry Barrett, idle and disorderly The warrant has been executed by the Wellington police (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 274.)

Wellington.— Frederick Raymond Blackmore, convicted (see Police Gazette, 1945, page 45) : On 28th March last, the Court of Appeal varied the sentence of “ 2 years’ H.L. and 1 year’s R.D.” to “ 2 years’ H.L.” All copies of the Police Gazette are to be amended accordingly.

Wellington— Gordon Thomas Wilkie, default of maintenance, has paid the arrears to the Paekakariki police. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 75.)

Wellington.— Gibb Hastings, breach of probation, has been arrested by the Waipukurau police. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 175.)

Wellington.— Michael John Kelly, failing to report for military service, has been arrested by the Westport police. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 192.)

Wellington. Paul Vivian Field, convicted (see Police ) Gazette, 1944, page 819). On 28th ultimo, the Court of •' Appeal varied the sentence of “1£ years’ R.D.” to “ 2 years’ probation from 28/3/45.” All copies of the Police Gazette -. are to be amended accordingly.

Wellington— Bernard Champion, deserting ship, has been arrested by the Cambridge police. He assumed the name Harry Champion. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 205.)

Wellington. — Desmond Kara, inquired for, has been located, and no further action is desired. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 274. (P. 45/418.)

Christchurch. — Raymond Tilford Hall, referred to in Police Gazette, 1936, page 602, and Photographs, page 63, died at Christchurch on 9th June, 1941.

Temuka. — Edward Joseph Rooney, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Timaru police. (See Police Gazette, 1945, page 294.)
