Hamilton. —The watch described hereunder was found in possession of Leo Joseph Callan, referred to in Police Gazette, 1943, page 449, and Photographs, 1932, page 68, who stated that he purchased it from an unknown man at Hamilton on 27th January last, but the owner has not been located : A gentlemen’s 9 ct. gold oblong wristlet watch with square dirty-grey dial, white Arabic numerals, black hands, No. 2174 C. on outside back, “ Mate ” scratched on inside back, dark-brown leather wrist-strap, probably purchased since 1925 ; value about £5.
