Woodville. —Between the Ist January last and 23rd June, from the dwelling of Alfred Ramsden, Kumeroa, the property of ALLAN McGREGOR, care of Williams and Kettle, Waipawa, a -410 in. calibre Harrington and Richardson single-barrel breech-loading shot-gun (known as four-ten gauge), No. 21045, barrel about 16 in. long; value £5. Identifiable.

Palmerston North.— On the 20th or 21st ultimo, the warehouse of J. J. NIVEN AND 00., LTD., 278 Church Street, was broken into and the following stolen: Aj- h.p. single-phase Hoover electric motor with black crackle finish ; a J h.p. single-phase Hoover electric motor with black crackle finish ; three cast iron Samson bench vises, 31 in. jaws, painted blue ; nine pairs of Cee Tee 6 in. slip-joint pliers ; nine pairs of Crescent combination pliers, curved handpiece, 6 in. or 7 in. long ; and nine pairs of long nose 6 in. Crescent pliers, 654 above 6 on jaw of each ; total value, £4l 3s. 9d. Not identifiable.

Lower Hutt. —On the 21st or 22nd ultimo, the shop of DOROTHY JENNESS, 163 High Street, was broken into and the following stolen : A five- valve table model Columbus radio, dark-brown cabinet, about 18 in. by 12 in. by 9 in., oblong dial, two controls; a five-valve 110-volt radio in brown metal case, 18 in. by 9 in. by 9 in., round dial, three control knobs, leather handle, and speaker on top ; an Astatic pick-up with electric motor, bronze-coloured metal turntable and arm ; ten volumes of wireless text books, entitled “ Rider’s Trouble Shooter” each 18 in. by 12 in. by 3 in., blue imitation-leather binding, “ L. D. Jenness ” in front; sixty gramophone records ; a pair of 10 in. Crescent side-cutters with “J ” on jaw ; an Esico electric solderingiron about 12 in. long, black wooden handle, 4 ft. of flex attached ; a 4 in. Bridgeport screwdriver, pocket clip on yellow transparent handle, “J ” on end ; a 6 in. Lower Hutt. 26th June last, from a garage at 2 Barraud Street, the property of KEITH CARRICK KENWARD, Main Road, Taita, a wooden saw-bench about 30 in. by 48 in., fitted with a saw-spindle 1 \ in. by 21 in. ; and a 1£ h.p. Normand repulsion-induction electric motor, on movable table, serial No. B. 2107, 230 volts, 50 cycle, 2800 r.p.m., M.E.M. Automemota push-button starter; total value, £4O. Identifiable.

Wellington. —Between 23rd July, 1943, and 29th November last, from a luggage room in the Hotel Waterloo, the property of NEIL LAWRENCE WILSON, care of Mrs. A. E. Wilson, Lincoln Hills, Mayfield R.D., Ashburton, an Exakta B camera with f. 2-8 Tessar lens, lens No. 1607801, contained in brown morocco leather case with shoulder-strap, value £4O ; a leather handbag about 14 in. long with keeper on back and on each end, containing a brown cardboard tray about 31 in. deep ; a Rex exposure meter ; a Zeiss collapsible tripod ; four filters, 37 mm. in diameter, one green, one yellow, one red, and the other infra-red; about nine Selo H.P. 2 films ; about five hundred negatives with scenes of Fiji depicted thereon, all contained in a brown leather suitcase, about 30 in. by 18 in. with two straps; total value, £52. Identifiable except suit-case. \y Wellington. —Between the 24th and 26th June last, the countinghouse of DE LUXE RENTAL CARS, 2a Kent Terrace, was broken into and the following stolen : A set of Indestro super-quality socket spanners in blue metal case about 18 in. by 8 in. ; a £ in. electric drill, probably Miller’s Falls make, aiuminium body, pistol grip ; a carburettor for Morris 8 motor-car with intake and exhaust manifolds; an Acme tire-pressure gauge; a nickel-plated Yale Junior padlock, No. D.C. 926 ; and a varnished wooden box about 15 in. by 7 in., containing a set of stocks and dies in sizes from J in. to {’g in., and some taps and die nuts; total value, £39.
