- ♦- Auckland. — Between the 10th May last and 22nd June, from the R.N.Z.A.F. Station, Hobsonville, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Air Department), a bright-metal stop watch, black hands, white dial with black and blue marks on it indicating seconds; a black metal aircraft clock, about 2| in. in diameter and 2£ in. deep, black dial, “ A.M.” on it; and two pairs of Wilson antiglare glasses with dark lenses, leather protectors on each side of lenses, black flexible sides ; total value, £l9 15s. Identifiable except glasses.

Auckland. — 18th May last, from the dwelling of HUBERT JOSEPH LICHTENSTEIN, 82 Almorah Road, Epsom, a necklace of graduated cultured pearls, 17 in. long, largest pearl about size of a small pea, knot in thread about eight or nine pearls from each end, oblong clasp about | in. long value, £2O ; a black leather wallet of fold-over type, about 4 in. square with note compartment and two stamp compartments ; about twelve foreign coins including an American half-dollar and a Fijian penny ; a mottled-green Conway Stewart fountain-pen, end of lever broken; and £l7 10s. in money ; total value, £4O 15s. Auckland.— Between the 30th June last and 6th ultimo, the property of FRANK WILFRED PETTIE, Astrolabe Road, Avondale, a 1934 model Austin 10 motor-car eight-day clock, Lucas or Smith make, black dial, white numerals; a grey reversible travelling rug with red and white stripes, “ F. W. Pettie ”in black thread on one corner ; a barrel-shaped tire gauge, about 4 in. long ; and an Austin motor-car pump, painted black, about 18 in. long; total value, £8 10s. Portion identifiable. Complainant’s motor-car was unlawfully removed from Great North Road, Point Chevalier, on 30th June last, and when recovered in Haslett Street, Eden Terrace, on 6th ultimo, it was discovered that the property described had been stolen.

Auckland. the Bth December last, from the armoury at the Seddon Memorial Technical College, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Army Department), a -303 calibre Short Magazine Lee-Enfield drill rifle, striker removed, 2 in. white band painted around butt; and a bayonet of latest type, 8 in. long, No. 36419, to fit rifle No. 4, Mk. I, maker’s No. 25L2245 ; total value, £1 Bs. 3d. Identifiable.

Auckland. —Bth or 9th ultimo, from a 1939 model Morris 8 motor-car near Camp Orford, Manurewa, the property of SHORTERS RENTAL MOTORS, Shortland Street, five pressed-steel wheels, painted black, each fitted with one of the following 450 by 17 tires and tubes : A Firestone, serial No. 5921983; a Michelin, serial No. M.E.D. 15632; a Michelin, serial No. C.E.X. 96023; a Michelin, serial No. C.E.X. 89557 ; one (make unknown); and five tubes ; two tires recently recapped ; total value, £52 10s. Mount Eden. — ultimo, from a cloak-room in the Orange Hall, Newton Road, the property of PHYLLIS MORRIS-JONES, 49 Konini Road, One Tree Hill, a ladies’ fawn camel-hair overcoat, S.S.W. size, lined with fawn shotsilk, tie belt, inverted pleat at back ; and a red triangular scarf with white spots ; total value, £ll ss. Huntly. —On the Bth or 9th ultimo, the shop of HARRY MEYER, draper, Main Street, was broken into and the following stolen : Eight pairs of ladies’ Peccary gloves in cream, navy-blue, black, brown, and tan colours, white stitching on back of some ; two. pairs of ladies’ navy-blue calf-skin gloves with white zig-zag stitching on back; a pair of ladies’ navy-blue skin gloves ; a pair of ladies’ black skin gloves ; two pairs of ladies’ black fabric gloves with white stitching on back (all in sizes from 61 to 7) ; £6 15s. in money ; and a certificate of registration for a rifle, No. 381098, in complainant’s name; total value, £3O 12s. Waiouru. —Between March last and 21st ultimo, from the military camp, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Army Department), four pressed-steel wheels from Ford ambulances, painted khaki, three fitted with 600 by 16 Tru-test de Luxe tires with “ N.Z.”, broad arrow, and “ D.” on them, and tubes, and the other fitted with a 700 by 17 Firestone Heavy Duty tire and tube; and eight pressed-steel wheels from Chevrolet trucks, painted khaki, three fitted with 700 by 20 Goodrich Speedliner Silvertown tires and tubes, four fitted with 700 by 20.U.5.
