Auckland. — Roy James Whelan, convicted of theft (three charges) : On 30th ultimo, the Court of Appeal varied the sentences to “ U years on each charge.” All copies of the Police Gazette are to be amended accordingly. (See Police Gazette, 1943, page 698.)
Auckland.- Malcolm William Thornley, absent from Army : Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1944, page 448.)
Auckland. — lan Hamish Mac Diarmid, absent from Army Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1944, page 434.)
Papakura.— Ernest James Duncan, absent from Army, has been arrested by the Matamata police. (See Police Gazette, 1944, page 396.)
'Hamilton. Guy Hatton Arthur, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Taranaki Street (Wellington) police. He assumed the name Alexander Arthur. (See Police Gazette, 1941, page 432.)
Rotorua.— Christopher David Reeves Palmer and Mervyn Mills Browne, escaping from defaulters’ camp, have been arrested by the Taranaki Street (Wellington) police. (See Police Gazette, 1944, page 414.)
Waipukurau. Joseph Witana, unlawfully converting motor-truck, has been arrested by the Lower Hutt police, and he admitted stealing Adam Stewart Leitch’s bicycle. (See Police Gazette, 1944, pages 331 and 396.)
Bulls. John McGlone Pope, escaping from Air Force custody, has been arrested by the Air Force authorities. (See Police Gazette, 1943, page 441.)
Palmerston North. — Phillip Desmond Hughes, breach of probation, has been arrested by the Clive police. (See Police Gazette, 1944, page 298.)
Petone.— George Wallace William Wilcox, default of fines, has paid the amount to the Mount Cook (Wellington) police. (See Police Gazette, 1944, page 393.)
Christchurch. — William Barry, absent from Army, has been arrested by the Levin police. (See Police Gazette, 1943, page 40.)
Dunedin. — Arthur Francis Munton, breach of probation, has been arrested by the Wellington South police. (See Police Gazette, 1944, page 447.)
Dunedin. — Charles William Home, theft, has been arrested by the Christchurch police. He is identical with Charles William Grimmond Home. (See Police Gazette, 1944, page 447.)
Dunedin. — Robert Emmett Burrowes, theft, has been arrested by the Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1942. pages 372 and 526.)
Invercargill. Robert Emmett Burrowes, false pretences, has been arrested by the Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1942, pago 212.)
Invercargill. James Leslie Bishop, failing to report for military service, has been arrested by the Dunedin police. (See Police Gazette, 1942, page 758.)
