Auckland. —17th ultimo, on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for three months in default of paying £8 10s. arrears on a maintenance order for the support of his child, Mervyn James Roland Vallilley, referred to in Police Gazette, 1944, page 195, and Photographs, 1939, page 66.

Auckland. 26th January last, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Edna May Macdonald, 249 Sandringham Road, and two children, Andrew Malcolm Macdonald, age twenty-nine, height 5 ft. 10 in., seaman, native of England, medium build, fair complexion and hair, blue eyes, two gold upper teeth, kangaroo and map on one arm, boat-wheel and Chinese head on other arm ; usually dressed in a suit with black stripes.

Auckland. —7th instant, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Leonard Augustus Mousley, age forty-five, height 5 ft. 10 in., cheesemaker and motor-driver, native of New Zealand, fresh complexion, black hair, brown eyes, bulletwound and boil-scar on right arm, scar on upper lip and on right shin. Taumarunui. —7th instant, on two warrants for failing to comply with the terms of maintenance orders for the support of his wife, Mavis Annie Patterson, and three children, Edward George Patterson, referred to in Police Gazette, 1943, page 95, and Photographs, 1937, page 43. Arrears to 2nd instant, £1,009 7s. 6d.

Tokaanu. —4th instant, on warrant for unlawfully converting to his own use an Austin motor-car (recovered), value £2OO, the property of Herbert Kawatau Jackson, care of Weir and Kenny, sawmillers, Matu Fraser, age thirty-one, height 5 ft. 9 in., labourer, Maori, strong build, copper complexion, black hair, brown eyes, broad nose ; wearing a light-brown suit, dark-brown hat, and black shoes. On above date the motor-car was unlawfully removed from Turangi Sports Ground, and was recovered the following day on the main highway between Taupo and Waitahanui in a damaged condition. Auckland. — l7th ultimo, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Marie Thomas, Manuroa Road, Takanini, Louis John Thomas, age forty-three, height 5 ft. 8 in., bricklayer, native of New Zealand, dark-brown hair, white patch of hair about size of half-crown on head ; usually well dressed.

Wanganui. About 24th October last, for false pretences, Raymond George Purves, referred to in Police Gazette, 1944, page 96. He is alleged to have obtained two motor-car wheels and tires, value £3O, from John Lawrence Mead, 41 High Street, Hawera, by falsely stating that he was the owner of a Chevrolet motor-car which was at his father’s place at Te Wanga, and that he wanted the loan of the wheels and tires to enable him to bring his motor-car to Wanganui. He did not return the wheels and tires to complainant, and it is desired that he be interviewed*^? f M>/f

Palmerston North. —2sth January last, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Elsie Ellen Cuthbertson ,and child, Ellwood Guthbetison, alias John Cuthbertson, age thirty-two, height 5 ft. 10 in., salesman, native of New Zealand, fresh complexion, brown hair, grey eyes.
