Auckland. The articles described hereunder were found underneath a hedge at 13 Marlborough Street, Mount Albert, on 28th December last, but the owner has not been found : A six-chambered old pin-fire revolver (about -25 calibre) with wooden grip ; a mortice door-lock ; a , pair of hornrimmed spectacles ; a gold-plated expanding wrist-band from ladies’ wristlet watch, comprised of thirteen links each about \ in. long; a pocket-knife, about 1 in. long with bone handle and loop on end for chain ; a gilt ribbon-chain with gold-plated medal, “ Kia Ora ” and fern design thereon ; a gold-plated shield, “ J.P.” thereon with fern on each side ; a locket, about ir in. square, containing lock of hair, which is covered with piece of glass, imitation pearls set around front, “Mary Jones died 7 Nov., 1821. Aged 35 on back; a gold-plated oval locket, about \ in. long, glass on front; an 18 ct. gold old wedding ring, about in. wide; a ladies’ gold-plated dress ring, set with five imitation stones in straight claw setting ; a ladies’ gold-plated dress ring with large claw setting from which stone has been removed ; a gentlemen’s 18 ct. gold ring, -} in. wide, stone removed ; a ladies’ gold-plated dress ring which is broken and stones removed; and a nail-pick with white bone handle, 2£ in. long.
Petone. —The bicycle described hereunder was found in Jackson Street on 30th December last, but the owner has not been found : A gentlemen's black, No. B. 5094, racing handle-bars, leather saddle, rubber pedals, B.S.A. drivewheel, Ileidrubber tires, Bluemel’s pump.
