Serial Number 1942/341 THE FOREIGN SEAMEN (NETHERLANDS) NOTICE 1942 C. L. N. NEWALL, Governor-General. WnEREAS it has been signified in writing to me by the Consul of the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands that it, is the desire of that Government that Part XIV of the Shipping and Seamen Act, 1908, shall be enforced in respect of the masters and seamen of the ships of the said Kingdom : Now therefore, in exercise of the powers vested in me by the said Act, I, Cyril Louis Norton Newall, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby give notice as follows : 1. This notice may be cited as the Foreign Seamen (Netherlands) Notice 1942. 2. The provisions of Part XIV of the Shipping and Seamen Act, 1908, will be enforced in respect of the masters and seamen of ships of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, including Netherlands’ East Indies (sometimes called Netherlands’ India) and 'Netherlands’ West Indies (sometimes called Surinam and the Colony of Curasao) from and after the 18th day of December, 1942.
