Whangarei. 24th August last, on military warrant for being absent from Kamo Camp without leave, Davitt Emmett Hassett, age thirty-nine, height 6 ft., miner, native of New Zealand, slight build, fair complexion and hair, blue eyes. (See Police Gazette, 1933, page 334.) /fa

Auckland.— 27th September last, on military warrant for being absent from Narrow Neck Camp without leave, Jack Mervyn Appelgren, referred to in Police Gazette, 1942, page 654, and Photographs, 1940, page 1. /?//*’/ Palmerston North. —6th ultimo, on military warrant for deserting from the 2nd Field Regiment, Richard IVicAvoy, age forty-two, height 5 ft. 7 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion, brown hair, blue eyes ; fond of drink. 2 S’* //• v-*

Wellington. l9th ultimo, on militray warrant for escaping from custody in Trentham Camp, Albert Edward Johnston, referred to in Police Gazette, 1942, page 851. When previously absent from camp without leave he assumed the name Ted Read, and worked in a shearing-shed.
